Terms of Service for Browser4
These terms govern your use of the Browser4 website (browser4.io) and the open-source Browser4 project. Please read them carefully before using the website or the project.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using browser4.io (the "Website") or the open-source Browser4 project (the "Project"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Website or the Project.
The Website and the Project are operated by 武汉市翘曲速率信息科技有限公司 (Wuhan Qiaoqu Sulu Information Technology Co., Ltd.) (together with its team, "we," "us," or "our"), the same team behind platon.ai.
2. The Service
The Website provides information about Browser4, a browser infrastructure project that enables AI agents to browse, automate, extract, and analyze the web. The Project includes open-source software, command-line tooling, documentation, and related materials published under the Browser4 name.
The Website is provided on an information basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website or the Project at any time, with or without notice.
3. Open-Source Software and Licenses
The Browser4 Project is open source and is published on GitHub. Use of the Project's source code and software is governed by the license accompanying the respective repository or component, not by these Terms. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the applicable open-source licenses.
These Terms do not grant you any rights to the source code beyond the rights granted by the applicable open-source licenses.
4. Acceptable Use
When using the Website or the Project, you agree not to:
- Use them in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Website, its hosting infrastructure, or the Project's services;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or to other users' data;
- Use the Project's software to violate the terms of service or legal rights of any third-party website, including scraping or automating sites in ways those sites prohibit;
- Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of others;
- Use the Website to distribute malware, spam, or other harmful content.
You are solely responsible for how you use the Project's software and for ensuring that your use of websites and data is lawful and respects the rights of others.
5. Intellectual Property
The Website's design, text, graphics, logos, and other original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share the content for informational purposes, but you may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute it for commercial purposes without our prior written consent, except where permitted by applicable open-source licenses or law.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Website is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we process and how. If you use the Browser4 Extension, the Browser4 Extension Privacy Policy applies to that product.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
The Website contains links to and embeds content from third-party services, including GitHub, YouTube, Bilibili, WeChat, Weibo, Twitter, npm, and download servers. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Website and the Project are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the Project's software will meet your requirements.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Website or the Project. Our total liability for all claims relating to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in connection with the relevant claim (if any) or one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us and our team from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Website or the Project, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice on the Website. Continued use of the Website or the Project after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We will first attempt to resolve any dispute arising out of these Terms through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to the competent court of the place where we are located (Wuhan, Hubei Province, China).
